i'm not here to win

i'm here to leave a legacy

run

live our dreams

and it's a ...
BRONZE for ALISA!
GOLD for JINGXIAN!

whooopee. i've never felt so happy for someone else winning sth before. lol. it's usually me mourning over me NOT winning anything. it's odd. cos i think that this stuff means something bigger. it's not just the medals. it's like some giant statement and proof that triathlon isn't so ..i don't know. i mean singapore isn't that behind. triathlon isn't that behind. maybe they'll give us more funding. more support. does that mean more overseas trips? heh. and maybe proper gym equipment... and new not so stinky mats! i don't know. hahaha. okay what happens now ah? does tas really get more money?? more recognition definately. oh and maybe newbalance will stop screwing up the clothes. hahaha. i was given a men's M sized tracksuit. i know i'm fat but not THAT fat right? :D click here!!!

i think that elaine and alisa were super to have been able to juggle their exams (As and Os respectively), as well as juggle training. then there's jx who's mega and sacrificed a year to train full time. that takes a mental frame made of stainless steel. not to forget gino who's a cool physiotherapist who blows on straws. haha. sorry i see the least of him and i just remember that he likes to blow on straws. says it helps breathing or sth... he's had 3 knee surgeries! ahh. and is sponsored by OAKLEY!(and alot of other doods) -roars. isn't that mega cool? okay this quote just came to mind. i er..altered it to suit the occasion.

"one small step for triathletes, one giant leap for triathlon"

ahh i wanted to see the race!!! too bad. firstly, i was out the whole morning, so even if they did show a snippet or two, i wasn't at home. secondly, i don't think they covered much of it. not like swimming- so much more televised. hmph. suddenly there's this surge of adrenaline and motivation to train harder. but it's not like magic, it isn't about whacking for a week then seeing results just like that. it's about training for years. it's about the whole experience. it's damn blood, sweat and tears. hahaha. really i've lost blood from falling down so many times! hahaha. okay maybe that's just me- the one who's unable to stay on the bike without falling down an avg of once a mth.

i'm probably the slowest girl (and person) in the team. heh. but we all have the right to dream don't we? we all dream that someday, maybe we'll be able to stand proudly on that podium in national colours.

can't wait for them to come back. guo jiaolian! I NEED HIS TUFF TRAINING TO LOSE WEIGHT! and the rest of them. i hope they still train with us. or else pathetic 3 people turnups for training will be very demoralizing.
